This year I was very fortunate and was able to do quite a few Cap and Gown photos up at SUNY Plattsburgh–what a blast!
People typically think that only high school seniors get portraits done when they graduate, but I am noticing a trend of people wanting to celebrate their graduation from college with Cap and Gown photos.

These sessions were not super long, and we did them as a group with Sorority Sisters, so we got some very fun shots with friends–check out the video at the end!

I have noticed that people seem to be more at ease for these sessions than for a High School Senior Portrait Session. I think that is because they have just spent four years figuring out who they really are and what they want to become. They are a little more comfortable showing themselves.

Tips for a fun Cap and Gown Session:
- Decorate your cap! Super cute when you have something fun!
- Don’t forget your cords and other accessories.
- Wear something nice underneath
- Bring friends!
