Excelsior Springs Winter Wedding | Megan and Josh

Everyone loves a Winter Wedding, am I right?  There is just something elegant and cozy all at the same time.  I was thrilled to photograph Megan and Josh’s Excelsior Springs Winter Wedding in Saratoga NY last winter.

An Elegant Excelsior Springs Winter Wedding

I was excited to photograph this wedding for two reasons–first, it was the first Wedding of 2024.  Secondly, I have known Meg’s family and have been photographing them since she was very little.  It is really special to watch a family transition through major life events and be able to capture those events for them, and for that I am truly grateful.

Megan and Josh met on a dating app and have known each other about five years.  It was really nice for me to be able to meet Josh and get to know him a little bit.  They are a very sweet couple and I wish them all the best!  Meg has some great advice for Wedding Planning–“I would say when deciding where you want to plan on your wedding it’s best to keep it to a minimum of a few places.  That way you don’t get to stressed out when deciding where you want to get married. Maybe keep it to a minimum of 3-5 venues just to make it easier on your selves.”  I could not agree more!

I prefer to use available light during a wedding ceremony so I can be as unobrusive as possible.

During the Winter, sometimes we need to be flexible and use indoor spaces. I liked this simple spot.
