Saratoga Springs has some of the most unique wedding venues in the country–but perhaps I am biased as I live here.
Not only is Saratoga Springs a great tourist destination, we host many destination weddings at our extraordinary and picturesque wedding venues. Below are some of my favorite Saratoga Springs Wedding Venues:
The Mansion Inn:
Located just outside of Saratoga Springs, The Mansion Inn offers the charm of an historic Victorian Mansion that has been lovingly restored to its former glory. It also has a rustic barn that is available for weddings at the back of the property. The Mansion Inn is a Bed and Breakfast that happens to host weddings, so the couple and their family have access to lodging on site for the weekend. The food is prepared by Chef Rick and rivals any great restaurant. The staff is friendly and courteous and always ensure the event runs smoothly. If you are looking for Victorian elegance or a rustic barn–or a combination of both–this is a fabulous place.
The Historic Canfield Casino
The Canfield Casino has a lot of history in addition to it’s timeless elegance and beauty. Built in the Gilded Age in 1870, clientele of the Casino included Diamond Jim Brady, Lillian Russell, the Vanderbilts and the Whitneys. Many of the original features are still part of the property, including the gorgeous stained glass windows.
The Hall of Springs:
The Hall of Springs is located in the Saratoga Springs State Park and is surrounded by some unique architecture that was constructed as part of FDR’s New Deal. Couples come from all over to have their photographs taken at the park–if you have your wedding at the Hall of Springs, all you need to do is walk outside! The inside of the Hall of Springs is truly impressive–massive marble columns with an old world feel. If you are looking for a traditional ballroom venue, this location is exquisite.
The Wedding Barn at Lakota’s Farm:
The Wedding Barn at Lakota’s Farm was originally a Dairy Farm. The barn and the house have been restored by the owner Kim and her husband Alan. The farm features Kim’s horses, who are not camera shy. Kim has been working in the wedding industry for many years and brings her expertise to all the events held at the property. Her staff is courteous, friendly and professional. Every detail of the venue has been carefully planned with nothing left to chance. An event at the Wedding Barn feels like a wedding held in someone’s home, only without the stress.
The Saratoga Winery:
I just recently worked at the Saratoga Winery for the first time. I must say, I was pretty impressed. The staff was great and the venue was very picturesque. In addition to vintners vault, there is a larger outdoor area available for larger events. There are some very pretty locations on the property for wedding photos. I will be interested to see this venue evolve because I really enjoyed photographing there.
The Saratoga Automobile Museum:
I just photographed a wedding at the Automobile Museum–it was very cool! If you are looking for something unique and fun and you love cars, this is the place for you! Your guests can enjoy the classic cars, trucks and tractors during cocktail hour and enjoy a sit down dinner in the galleries.
Historic Inns and Hotels
The Adelphi Hotel was originally built in 1826 and recently renovated as a boutique hotel in downtown Saratoga Springs.
The Batchellar Mansion is a a wonderful quintessential Saratoga venue with period architecture and furnishings.
Built during the New Deal era, the Gideon Putnam is part of the Saratoga State Park. You can host your event in it’s lovely ballroom and use the grounds of the State Park for your photos.
Anne’s Washington Inn
Anne’s is another historic building that is a Bed and Breakfast, in addition to hosting weddings. Located on a hilltop property, it has a very homey feeling. They also have a classic car available for photos if you are so inclined.
Saratoga Springs wedding venues are world class. Whether you live locally or are planning a destination wedding, we have some unique and fabulous venues that you should definitely consider for your event.
