An Intimate Wedding is the best–I say that all the time. But with Covid, an Intimate Wedding is also turning out to be a necessity. While many couples planning weddings are opting to reschedule to next year, some people are simply scaling down their plans and moving forward with intimate weddings.
One such couple was Maria and Barry. They got married this past summer at the Queensbury Hotel in downtown Glens Falls. They had a morning ceremony followed by brunch and it was fabulous! I asked Maria to tell her story for the Blog:
“Well…I have to say having our wedding upstate was not our initial plan. We had a spectacular botanical outdoor wedding planned for sunny Miami, FL.
“Unfortunately, COVID19 happened & our plans were taken out of our hands.
“We came upon the Queensbury Hotel in Glen Falls, NY by chance…we had decided to just plan a getaway in the Lake George area of NY because we always wanted to go & never had been. I was researching hotels in the area & we just fell in love w/the Queensbury Hotel. We were initially just going to get married with our 3 year old son, but we saw the fabulous wedding pictures on their website & decided to see if we could plan a much smaller intimate wedding in a month– and we actually pulled it off!
” Our wedding day was not the one we planned for but it couldn’t have turned out more perfect!”
I think we can all agree that while a big wedding can be fun, an intimate wedding with a smaller party is just as nice. Congratulations and Best Wishes to Maria and Barry!
