It is often said that a picture says a thousand words.  A professionally created photo will communicate professionalism, competence, integrity and, most importantly, that you take yourself seriously enough to invest in a professional Headshot.  I will go as far as to say that these intangible qualities are simply not attainable with an amateur photo or a “selfie.”  You literally have less than ten seconds to make that first impression online–make it count!

The simple point of a Headshot is for potential clients and employers to have a visual reminder to help associate a name with a face.  Ideally it will also give people a few clues as to your personality.  Did you also know that a good Headshot will often result in more “follows” and “friend requests?”

How Do We Elevate Your Image From “Meh” To Marvelous?

It all starts with a Consultation.  We will chat about what you do, how you do it, and how you want to be photographed.  This is a crucial step to having a great Headshot.  We will discuss types of background/location, clothing, and props.  We will talk about colors, perhaps even tying in the colors of your logo or website.

Many times, people will say to me that they just do not feel like they are photogenic.  My answer to that is always that it is not your job to show up and be a Super Model.  It is my job as a professional Headshot Photographer to make you look  your personal best through careful posing and lighting.   In most cases, I will advise people to bring more than one “look” or outfit so we can get some variety.  We will also decide if professional Hair and Makeup is right for you.

The Day of the Headshot Session and After

We will photograph your professional Headshots with several different crops to accomodate a variety of scenarios.  All of our images receive basic retouching to enhance the quality of the final product.  We can also provide black and white versions of your Headshots in case you need that for any reason.
