Julian’s Newborn Photo Session–Welcome to the World!
I recently got to photograph the cutest little Newborn Baby Boy, Julian. He is joining his big brother Henry, who is just as cute. I love following families on their journey and documenting special moments like these. Julian was kind of a little stinker for his session in that he just did not want to sleep. In fact, that can be pretty typical for a Newborn Session. We worked through it though and got some amazing images.
Here is a slideshow from Julian’s Newborn Photo Session:
Some of My Favorites From This Newborn Photo Session:
We started with a set of Julian in the same chair as the one we used for his big brother’s newborn photos. I think the continuity is really sweet. Another special thing about this is that the painting was done by a friend of Julian’s parents. The colors are just perfect with the chair!

Variety Is Very Important in Newborn Sessions:
Many of my Newborn Photography clients want to create albums, so variety in the session is very important to me. We can achieve that with a selection of blankets and wraps combined with some of their clothing and props.

Sleeping For Five Seconds:

Oh hey, wide awake–again.

I heard that Julian slept really, really well the night after his Newborn Photo Session. Of course.

Baby Julian is adorable. He will have so much fun with big brother Henry. I especially love the photo snuggles with mama!
The newborn snuggle photos are always a favorite of mine as well!
What a gorgeous baby and stunning newborn photos. The slideshow of images was fun to watch. Love that you were able to get both awake and sleepy photos; captures this real-time as the parent of a newborn.
I am all about getting the real deal while making it beautiful. The Newborn time is so fleeting and special.
I love how you have the full newborn session gallery posted as a slideshow! It really shows all the great baby pictures you captured for Julian and his family!
I always have a hard time narrowing down photos from a portrait session to a manageable blog post, hence the slide show.
Susan, these newborn pictures of Julian are so precious! The slideshow you shared so many adorable poses and expressions for this little guy. I’m sure his parents are thrilled that they hired you as their newborn photographer!
Thanks! This was so special because I have photographed them for Maternity, the first baby’s Newborn Session, Holiday Photos, 1st Birthday, etc. It is so rewarding to see a family blossom.
